On January 27th, 2010 Vintage students spoke to the astronauts on board the International Space Station.
NASA selected Vintage Magnet to have the very special honor of hosting a live video conference with the astronauts on the International Space Station. Only 6 educational organizations were given an opportunity to connect with the station during this crew rotation. Previous institutions that have been given this honor include the US Department of Education, museums, universities and K-12 schools.
We are very proud to have been selected for this honor and would like to share this experience with you. Please click below to view a video of this event filmed by Mr. Bullis, one of our 5th grade teachers. (Give it a minute or two to start). The video is unedited and is approx. 1 1/2 hours long but is filled with fascinating information including a presentation by a JPL scientists, Ms. Khan, on space exploration.
