Students view the last launch of the Space Shuttle Atlantis.
Room 31 second graders and Room 18 third graders crowd into Vintage Science Lab to view the historic, last launch of the Altantis Space Shuttle. Vintage has a special relationship with NASA as a NASA Explorer School and views, with fondness, one of the last three shuttle launches. Vintage students have met real astronauts, held a video conference with the International Space Shuttle astronauts and two of our students, Adam Valdivia and Zach Lopez, even got to go to Florida to demonstrate a rocket experiment that they devised for the NASA Symposium held at the Kennedy Space Center.
